Dr. Kelli Urbina strives for gold standard patient care and excellent client communication. Her goal at each office visit is to provide every client with a positive experience and a full understanding of their pet's healthcare options, as well as to provide each patient with “fear free” visit.
Dr. Urbina is originally from the New Orleans area. She achieved her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Louisiana State University Veterinary School in 2011. Following veterinary school, she completed an internship in Internal Medicine and Surgery at LSU. She went on to work as an emergency veterinarian at MedVet Medical and Cancer Center for Pets. There, she gained valuable experience working closely with veterinary specialists and treating critical conditions. While she loved the variety of cases and fast paced environment of emergency medicine, she was ready to move to general practice where she could establish long lasting relationships with clients and see their pets through all life stages.
Dr. Urbina’s professional interests include internal medicine, abdominal ultrasound, emergency medicine, dermatology and promoting spay/neuter.
She lives in Covington, Louisiana with her husband and young son, along with their 2 dogs and 1 cat. Outside of veterinary medicine, Dr. Urbina enjoys spending time with family and friends, reading, refinishing old furniture, exercising and cooking.
